The Challenge
Build AI 3D generation that stays reliable under load — without making the product feel complicated for first-time users.
AI-based 3D generation is resource heavy. Every request is a job that needs processing power, time, and a way to handle things going wrong — jobs can queue up, take a while to complete, or fail depending on what's uploaded. The client needed a platform that could handle many generation requests at once without slowing down or losing track of any of them, while keeping the experience simple for someone using it for the first time. It wasn't just about generating models, either. The business needed a proper credit and subscription system that supported both one-time purchases and recurring plans, an admin panel to manage users and content as the platform scaled, and a data retention policy that actually matched what each plan promised customers.
Our Approach
We built YVO 3D on React.js and Three.js on the front end, with Node.js and Express.js powering the backend.
Generation requests move through queued, running, and completed or failed states in order, with auto-retry and failure reporting built in — so nothing silently gets stuck or lost.
Jobs support multiple resolutions (1K, 2K, Fast 4K, Real 4K), with status polling and webhooks keeping users updated on progress.

Outcomes
YVO 3D gives users a straightforward way to turn ideas into 3D models without needing any technical skill — upload, choose a resolution, and let the platform handle the rest. On the business side, the admin panel gives full control over plans, credits, and content as the user base grows. The Redis-based queue keeps generation reliable even under load, so users get a consistent experience whether the platform is quiet or busy. The plan-based retention policy also keeps storage costs predictable, instead of storage growing unchecked as more users generate more models.

Postgres + Storage hold model data and assets, with row-level security enforced through custom JWT claims from our own authentication system — so users only ever see their own data.
